Don’t tell anyone, but I think there’s something better than the basic Foreman Grill for those who are novice cooks or those who want a quick and healthy meal.It’s called the Cuisinart Griddler.

Move over Foreman Grill

I first laid my eyes on this gem at a New Year’s Eve get-together. The Griddler is great for hamburgers, chicken and paninis. So, what exactly separates it from the Foreman Grill? Well, for one, it has temperature controls. Second, the unit opens up to be used as a griddle. It’s perfect for cooking bacon or pancakes. Third, and this is probably my favorite feature, is that the plates are removable. Removable = ability to scrub it in the sink and get it squeaky clean.

There are actually two types of plates — the grill type (as shown in the picture) and the flat type. The plates are very simple to change.The grill heats up fairly quickly. You’ll know the grill is ready when the green light comes on.

It has a silver finish that will complement any kitchen decor. It also has a smaller footprint, so you can proudly display it on your kitchen counter.

The price has gone down quite a bit since I bought mine. So, now’s a better time than ever to get one!
